20 On top of each pillar, above the bulge, beside the latticework, there were two hundred pomegranates arranged in rows all the way around.[a]

21 He set up the pillars on the porch of the temple building. He set up one pillar on the south and named it Jakin,[b] and he set up the other pillar on the north and named it Boaz.[c] 22 The tops of the pillars were shaped like lilies. In this way the work for the pillars was finished.
